Who We Are - Our Core Team

How We Began

Canvas Dreams began in 1998 by providing print design and translation services for a diverse client base in the U.S. and Europe. As our customer base continued growing, we began offering web hosting services. In 2005 we established a secure Web hosting and colocation space in downtown Portland,  where today we host and support our own servers and equipment.

What We Do Today

From our Portland facility we operate a 24/7 web hosting service. We specialize in:

• domain name registration
• web hosting and dedicated servers
• colocation services
• web design and e-commerce services

We provide many web design and development services in-house. Should you need specialized services, we operate a network of talented local contractors and can manage the entire project for you.

In February 2007 we opened a new office and sister data facility in Edinburgh Scotland, to better the support the needs of our European customers. Canvas Dreams UK Ltd. is a full-service hosting and colocation provider, and is continuing the Canvas Dreams tradition of caring support and technical expertise in the European hosting market.

Our language services division, Oregon Translation, offers translation and editing services in more than 30 languages through a network of Pacific Northwest translators.

Where We're Going

We have begun development of dedicated data backup services for our hosting and colocation customers, as well as for small businesses and offices who want a secure off-site location for their data storage needs. An additional option will be encrypted data backup to our sister facility in Scotland, thereby offering you "off-continent" data backup for your critical data backup needs.
