Green America and the Green Business Network
Green America is the largest organization of its kind in North America that
advocates for tens of thousands of green consumers and groups. Its mission
is to harness economic power - the strength of consumers, investors, businesses,
and the marketplace — to create a socially just and environmentally sustainable
society.
Originally founded in 1982 as "Co-op America", Green America adopted
its new name in January 2009 to better align itself with its goals amidst a
changing environmental and economic climate.
One segment of Green America is the Green Business Network, which
promotes and supports thousands of committed, environmentally and socially
responsible
businesses. General membership is open to all businesses, but only those companies
that have passed Green America's stringent certification process are accredited
and may use the Green America seal. Canvas Dreams, LLC is proud to be an accredited
